MY MEANINGFUL CHRISTMAS

I hate to admit it, but growing up i was always the selfish type around Christmas time.I was always asking for ridiculous things, way out of our price rang and if i didn't get it...i was "destroyed". Last year i decided that i was going to change and try for a better experience. I made a goal to finish the Book of Mormon on Christmas day! Before everyone woke up to open gifts as a family (guessing it was around 5 in the morning) I read the last chapter of the Book of Mormon and found out for myself  that it was true. That was by far the greatest gift i was ever able to receive on christmas. It helped me to open up my heart to the true meaning of Christmas and i was able to center that day around christ. That turned out to be the great christmas i have ever had! This year i went home for thanksgiving to visit my family and for black friday we went to walmart. My mom told us before we shop for ourselves, we need to pick a name off the walmart tree. We picked a 4 year old girl. She asked for some blocks, a snow suite, and a baby doll. It was a wonderful experience to step out side of our selves and focus on someone else. I'm sure that we are going to make that little girls christmas unforgettable, and i wish i was able to see her face when she opens the gifts. I hope all of us can focus on the true meaning of christmas, and serve someone else. The lord said that when you are in the service of your fellow men, you are only in the service of your god :)

To Help Me Grow Stronger

This week i have been really really stressed out about money and trying to find a job so i can pay bills! So many things are going on right now in my life that are just waying me down. I caught my self asking heavenly father "why me?" as if he didn't know what i was going through already!
He knows what each of us are going through and that it is going to only make us stronger if we have the will power to get through it. Christ promised us that he would never give us a trial that we weren't capable of overcoming! GOOD THINGS ARE TO COME and that's what should keep us going!

Beautiful Heartbreaks...

This song really touched me a lot! We all go through tough times in our lives at one point or another. Some go through harder things than others but that is not the point! The message that this song is trying to portray is that through times of trial you can find great life lessons. Rather than taking a certain trial and dwelling on it, you can take it and have it change your life and let it mold you into the person heavenly father intended you to be. The trials in my life have only helped me grow spiritually and realize that i have the lords hand in my life! He is carrying each of us threw our lives and he wants to help us. It is up to you to let him.

1. Know that Jesus Christ has already felt that pain...and that you dont have to bare it because he already has.
2. Realize that it only a short time and that things will get better.
3. Make righteous choices.
4. Believe in your abilities.
5. develop positive habits.
6. Serve someone in need
7. Smile even when you dont feel like it.

I know that if try to be better at this list of things, you will be happier. Yesterday i was having a pretty hard day and i was feeling a little down, so i decided i was going to do an act of service for someone else. Not only did it make her day, but my day got better as well. It feels so good to help someone else! Just when you think your life is hard and you cant take it anymore...you see someone else who is having an even harder time.

Teething days... Aren't over!!

This was me last week! 

Just when you think all your teeth have grow in....Your wisdom teeth show up!!!! I feel like a teething Child! time for the dentist! Now everytime i remember my little siblings crying due to teething..i understand why! I didnt have to yell at the poor kids! Man it sucks growing up!  

Definition of SPIRITUAL GIANT

SO i know this girl named Katie Maschue! You could say that we are related...lol she's my twin! Today she gave a talk in church about the power of the atonement. I don't think there was one person in that congregation who wasn't feeling the spirit! It was amazing! She talked about an experience she had with my little sister Alex. Alex was having a hard time and felt as though she had no friends. When she got into high school Katie and Alex became the best of friends. When Katie graduated they were both so sad. Once we started college we would call Alex every once in a while and she would tell us she was doing good and would leave it at that. When we went home for Christmas we would go hang out with our friends that we went to high school with. One night Katie got a call from my mom. She was asked to come home because Alex was crying and she needed someone to comfort her. Katie began to talk to her and asked Alex what was the matter. Alex started balling and replied " I feel like i have no one...i have no friends" Katie went on and told her that she is not alone, and that she has a loving heavenly father who knows what she is going threw and knows how she can get threw it. Alex has been doing better! It was a testimony to me :) To see how heavenly father works. I know that he knows what we are going threw and that he has the power to heal our broken hearts. As alone as we may feel at times, we have to remember that Christ is really there, and that he is carrying us threw our lives. I love the atonement and the blessings and comfort it brings to my life. I'm so glad i was able to go listen to her talk. Love you Kate!
